About Us
“I’m not saying I’m gonna change the world, but I guarantee that I will spark the brain that will change the world.”
— Tupac Shakur
We built Big Baby Digital on that same energy. We’re not trying to be gurus—we just want to spark something real. Whether it’s helping someone finally figure out color grading in DaVinci Resolve or introducing them to an AI tool that saves hours of editing time, we’re here to make the creative grind feel a little lighter.
We’re creative partners—editors, storytellers, and tech nerds—who believe in learning out loud, building together, and sharing what actually works.
This blog is for:
- Solo editors figuring it out day by day
- Filmmakers on a budget
- Creators who want to level up without chasing trends
If that’s you? You’re in the right place.
Let’s build.
The Team.

Hey, I’m Desmond Love, a documentary film director with 13+ years of experience. I’m passionate about using film to tell stories from within communities, and I love how movement and lighting can really bring those stories to life. When I’m not on set, you’ll find me either teaching filmmaking at a university, leading community workshops, watching documentaries, exploring new ways to tell stories through light and motion, or traveling the world! I’ve been able to experience 14 countries so far. Let’s connect and share some stories!
I’m a filmmaker and editor with a love for telling stories rooted in culture, history, and everyday people. I’ve edited and directed award-winning docuseries, worked with legendary Black brands like the Chicago Defender, and led projects that celebrate real voices in the community. Whether I’m cutting footage or writing over coffee, I’m here to tell stories that matter—and to help others share theirs, too.

I’m a cinematographer, colorist, and video editor based in Metro Detroit. For over 10 years, I’ve brought stories to life—whether for major global brands, local non-profits, or media platforms around the world. My work has shown up in places like The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and The Food Network. I’ve shot and edited projects that changed lives—and changed me, too. When I’m not creating, I’m hanging out with my son, Dallas, or catching up on games and movies.
I’m a seasoned media and communications professional with more than 20 years of experience in storytelling, strategy, and production across platforms. My work spans journalism, public relations, content development, and digital strategy — with a focus on race, culture, healthcare, and tech. My work has been featured with many brands including ESPN, The New York Times, the Memphis Grizzlies, Tri-State Defender, Real Times Media, US Department of Labor, Montgomery County Government and more. Whether it’s telling stories, shaping narratives or leading campaigns, I bring a blend of strategy, empathy, and action to every project.
